Snorkel Rental

Our rental snorkel gear has three basic pieces of equipment:

Snorkeling Mask: A snorkeling mask allows you to clearly view the sights under the water. When you choose your mask, make sure that it fits well and is comfortable. To try on the mask, push the mask against your face without using the strap. If it stays on your face, unsupported, than it is making a good seal and will be perfect for snorkeling.

Snorkel: A snorkel is a breathing tube that allows a swimmer who is swimming along the surface of the water to breathe normally, even though the swimmer’s face is just below the surface, peering down into the water.

  • Purge snorkels, or snorkels that easily fill with water and need to be purged often while in use.
  • Dry snorkels, which have a cap design that automatically closes when submerged, then opens when it breaks surface. Dry snorkels should not need purging.

Fins: Snorkel fins are a frequently overlooked piece of snorkeling equipment which make a huge difference in snorkeling as they provide the propulsion system when in the water. Snorkeling without fins is certainly possible, but fins add so much speed and maneuverability to snorkeling, it really is a different experience without them.
