Your Hanauma Bay Hawaii Snorkeling tour begins with our experienced driver picking you up from your hotel in the Waikiki area. After filling the van with excited guests you start your trip to Hanauma Bay. Hanauma Bay is 10 miles and about a 30 minute drive from Waikiki. Along the way the driver points out various points of interest and several homes of Hollywood celebrities.

Upon arriving at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve you are given detailed instructions on the use of our snorkel gear. We show how to insure a proper fit and how to check for leakage and fit you with the correct size swim fins.

You then head to the main entrance and pay $7.50 per adult and get ready for the mandatory video. The 8 minute video explains some of the safety concerns and how to protect of coral which is vital to our fish population. Also covered is the bays amazing history some of our colorful fish and coral you are about to experience with Hanauma Bay Snorkeling Tours.

After exiting the theater guests head down the hill by foot or by using the bays tram. Cost for the tram is 50 cents going down and $1.00 going back up.

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve has a full service snack bar at the top of the hill by the box office and rest rooms on top or down at the bottom of the hill on the beach.  They also have an on-duty life guard and several volunteers at the information booth manned by Friends of Hanauma Bay to give more details of the history and provide fish guides to help you identify the many species of fish, turtles and dolphins that inhabit the bay.
